RUNNING FOR A HERO. Irpin remembers

On April 13, a very special event took place in Irpin — the International Marathon “Running for a Hero,” which united hundreds of hearts in a single impulse — to honor the memory of our fallen Defenders.

It was more than just a race.
It was — gratitude. remembrance. strength.

🏃‍♂️ Each participant wore a T-shirt bearing the name of a Hero.
Each step — filled with pain, pride, and gratitude.
It was especially moving to see wounded soldiers walking or running for their fallen brothers-in-arms…

Today, we once again remembered hundreds of stories…
And at the same time, Ukrainians around the world were running with us — on the day marking 11 years since the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Some ran for a son. Some — for a brother. Some — for a father.
But all together — we ran for the Heroes.
Because as long as we remember — they live on.

During the marathon, we learned about the terrible tragedy in Sumy.
The concert was canceled. Irpin mourns together with the entire country.
